Kitchen Remodel 11

This remodel is an excellent example of how dramatically tastes and trends have changed over the years. As the before and after pictures reveal, a fresh, modern kitchen makeover can bring a whole new level of warmth, spaciousness, and vibrance to a home.

Look closely and notice how different things are, literally from floor to ceiling!

After the remodel…

What was once a darker kitchen is now bright and airy. New can lights in the ceiling illuminate the entire space, while under cabinet lights create contrast and highlight the 3” by 6” beveled subway tile backsplash.

A beautiful pendant light over the kitchen sink from Forty West adds a splash of color as well.

Some clients prefer regular subway tile, but this client chose the beveled look, creating texture and depth along the backsplash.

The photos above give you a nice look at the vintage American Hickory flooring.

Additionally, you can see a creative solution to previously unusable storage space in the kitchen. Alongside a new refrigerator, we built this custom pantry that created several more cubic feet of cabinet space — and it looks great!

The new countertop is fantasy brown marble, with half-inch beveled edges. The rich colors throughout the stone pull together the tundra colored cabinets, satin nickel finished hardware, stainless steel appliances, and 60/40 under-mount sink.
